PIKLE's payment and refund policy follows the policies of Apple App Store and Google Play Store. This policy applies to in-app purchases (IAP) within the PIKLE app.
1. Payment Methods
All paid services in PIKLE are provided through in-app purchases via Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- iOS: Charged to the payment method linked to your Apple ID
- Android: Charged to the payment method linked to your Google Account
2. Auto-Renewing Subscriptions
PIKLE memberships are auto-renewing subscriptions.
- Renewal cycle: 1 month / 6 months / 1 year
- Auto-renewal: Automatically renews 24 hours before the current subscription period ends
- Cancellation: Cancel anytime up to 24 hours before renewal in your Apple ID / Google Account settings
- After cancellation: You retain access until the end of the current subscription period
How to Cancel
iOS:
- Settings app
- [Your Apple ID name] → Subscriptions
- Select PIKLE → Cancel Subscription
Android:
- Google Play Store
- Menu → Subscriptions
- Select PIKLE → Cancel Subscription
You can also reach the store subscription screen above from within the app at Settings → Payment & Membership → Manage Subscription.
3. Refund Policy
General Principles
PIKLE does not directly process payments. Eligibility, conditions, and amount of any refund are determined solely by the refund policies and review of the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. PIKLE does not set its own separate refund criteria and does not guarantee refunds.
PIKLE Pro benefits granted for free or as a promotion (e.g., expert verification, friend referral) involve no payment and are therefore not eligible for refunds.
How to Request a Refund
iOS (Apple App Store):
- Visit https://reportaproblem.apple.com
- Sign in with your Apple ID and select the item to refund
- Enter the reason and submit
- Apple decides after review (typically 24-48 hours)
Android (Google Play Store):
- Google Play Store → Menu → Payments & subscriptions → Payments
- Select the item → "Get help"
- Enter refund reason and submit
- Google decides after review
4. Mid-Subscription Refunds (6-month / 1-year)
For long-term subscriptions:
- Before first use: Refund possible (per Apple/Google's automatic refund policy)
- After partial use: Decided case-by-case per Apple/Google's refund policy
- Pro-rated refund: PIKLE does not guarantee pro-rated or partial refunds
For exceptional circumstances (e.g., serious app defects, death, military service), please contact contact@pikleapp.com for case-by-case review and refund recommendation to Apple/Google.
5. EU Consumer Rights
EU residents may request a refund within 14 days of purchase per the Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU).
Refund rights may be limited if you explicitly consented to waiving the right of withdrawal upon starting digital content use.
6. Korean Consumer Rights
Korean residents may request withdrawal within 7 days of purchase per the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce.
Withdrawal may be limited if:
- Content or membership benefits have already been used
- The user explicitly waived withdrawal rights upon agreeing to terms
7. Auto-Renewal Notifications
You will receive auto-renewal notifications 24 hours before renewal through Apple / Google systems. Notification settings can be changed in your Apple ID / Google Account settings.
8. Price Changes
If subscription prices change:
- You will be notified per Apple / Google policy
- You must consent to the price change for renewal to proceed
- If you do not consent, the subscription will automatically expire at the next renewal
9. Dispute Resolution
For refund-related disputes:
- Contact contact@pikleapp.com first
- Resolution will be sought through agreement between PIKLE and the user
- If unresolved, you may seek mediation through consumer protection authorities in your jurisdiction
